I wanted to dedicate some space on this site to uplifting stories related to soccer. If you know of a special program, coach or group who is giving back to the community in some way which is soccer related, I invite you to let me know. We will be happy to see if we can run a feature on the program or individual.
Michael Cantrell and his good friend Taylor Pilkington, Co-Owners of Soccer Genome in Raleigh, NC established The Genome Foundation.
Their foundation recognizes that there are many talented players who can't pay for supplemental training. Michael and Taylor wanted to ensure that the players who attend Soccer Genome, their soccer and futsal training facility are not turned away for lack of ability to play, so they set up a foundation to address this.
It is wonderful to see that a local company such as the Soccer Genome which offers individual and small group training at all levels, from beginner to the elite player is also willing to give back to its community and support its players. Kudos to Soccer Genome and the Genome Foundation. To learn how you can help support their efforts, contact Michael at email@example.com
