There are programs available that allow players to attend soccer school abroad. Some are associated with boarding schools that incorporate the soccer training into the curriculum. Others place players in homes of local residents.
I have reached out to a few programs and am in the process of gathering information together to post. My plan is to list the program options by country.
The program I am most familiar with is the Italian Soccer School or Academia Insegnare Calcio. Calcio means football (soccer) in Italy. This is the program that my son is currently attending.
You can learn about my son, Jared Sullivan, and his experience playing soccer abroad here.
I hope you will come back regularly as I will be updating this site. Thank you.
